How to strengthen hamstrings
Increasing hamstring strength is highly desirable if you run or play sport.
In addition to enhancing running speed and jumping height, strong hamstrings play a crucial role in stabilising the knee joint and safeguarding the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) against potential injuries.
Most hamstring training machines are big, bulky and expensive.
Here are 4 ways you can strengthen your hamstrings with minimal equipment:
- Glute Bridge - single leg for added difficulty.
- Hamstring Curl - using the ISOTIB-LT this is super easy and effective.
- Nordic Curl - using the Nordic Bar and any rack, rig or upright post.
- Single Leg Landmine RDL - using the Universal Landmine Clamp and a rack, cage or post.
